Aaaah! Too many best ever homeschool days to choose from! I’m thinking of a day when my daughter was about
11 years old and she had decided that she would like to learn about ‘opera’. After a bit of an internet search I came across this:

We
had spent some time learning about baroque music and baroque art and
also about the historical period – what was happening, who was in
power, what was popular. We then moved onto The Magic Flute. I
found the above resource to be excellent. We didn’t have enough
time to work through it completely; it’s comprehensive to say the
least.
So
imagine us after a week or two of learning about baroque music,
opera, baroque costumes and dances. We found ourselves in the school
room parading around in our baroque costumes, dancing to Mozart –
we had a ball, literally I mean, we got dressed up for a ball. It
was so much fun.
What
made it the best homeschool day ever? Well for me it was because it
was the end result of two weeks of learning – a celebration of new
knowledge. We laughed ourselves silly, and danced together.
Homeschool had provided us with the freedom to really LEARN about
something thoroughly and intensively. And we enjoyed ourselves.
What
have been some of your Best Ever Homeschool Days?
